The Bell & Howell Sidekick 1200 features color and bitonal (consisting of foreground and background color) capabilities. The speed and image quality is ideal for an entry-level scanner. A perfect addition to any small office environment, it handles a variety of document sizes from 2” x 2.8” to 8.5 x 14” legal sized documents. Connectivity is simple via a USB 2.0 port and 50 pin SCSI III interface (consisting of a standard port between a computer and its peripherals), the ‘do-it-yourself' setup reduces the need for technical support saving you time and money and you can replace the rollers with minimal effort.
Outfitted with Kofax's new Capio software that specializes in professional document capturing solutions, it automatically checks and adjusts alignment, brightness, contrast and image clarity reducing the need to rescan documents. Capio software enables the user to quickly and easily file, retrieve, email and publish superior quality color images. The Sidekick 1200 is a cost effective way to introduce a duplex color scanner that any end user can operate to achieve a total desktop scanning solution.
