No PC Required

All of the scanning features can be easily accessed on the scanner itself.  An intuitive touch screen user interface provides operators control over nearly every function of the scanner.  From eight simple button options, all scanning specifications and destinations can be set.

Using the Infinity WF is easy, even for the novice scanner user.  At the corner of each screen, the user will find a button with a question mark.  If this button is pushed, each of the tabs flash.  The user can press whichever tab he or she is interested in learning more about and a description of that term will appear along with helpful hints.

If a user is experimenting with the settings and hits the wrong button, or wants to change the settings for a single scan and then return to the default settings, he or she can simply hit the default button and all of the original values will return.

If the user wants to review the image immediately after the scan, a standard screen or monitor can be connected directly to the scanner to display the image.  The user can select up to two different scanning locations for any document.  For example, if a user wants to send the scanned image to a folder on the network but they also want to have it in their email inbox, they can choose to scan to the network and send it to email... all from a single scan.

In addition to using the touch screen, a scanning application is also available.  From a browser, simply enter the scanner IP address, and the scanning application will appear.  Any PC connected to the network can be used to access the scanning application.  All of the features available on the touch screen are also available via the application.

Image Rotation

Image rotation is a new feature introduced by BBH. It allows users to feed a large document lengthwise and then rotate the scanned image to the proper orientation. This is a very useful feature for users who need to scan documents that exceed their scanner’s maximum document width.

SharpShooter CCD Camera Technology

Infinity WF utilizes the exact same camera technology as Spectrum XF, BBH's award winning high-volume production scanner.  The SharpShooter™ camera technology is a proven high performance platform with a large install base.

Infinity WF proves that going faster doesn't mean you have to sacrifice image quality.  The state-of-the-art trilinear camera design - with one line per red, green and blue - ensures images at a finer level of detail in bitonal and grayscale and in more vivid color.

In traditional document scanning, speeds are referred to in terms of pages per minute.  Wide format scanners, however, specify scanning speeds in terms of inches per second (ips).
