SmartLF Gx+ 28 and SmartLF Gx+ T28 Colortrac 28" LARGE FORMATSCANNER
The Colortrac is another brand of wide format scanners but this one is made in England. The camera's they use are CIS type and will only scan paper or mylar but not thick material. SmartLF Gx+ 28 may be the 'smallest' wide format scanner in Colortrac's scanner product family but it still packs a powerful punch. With a reduced footprint and lighter weight it is perfect for scanning D size or A1 documents up to 28" / 71.12cm in SOHO or mobile site applications where portability and small overall dimensions are a major benefit.
The SmartLF Gx+ 28 is full high definition (HD) with 1200 dpi optical resolution and benefits from instant-on LED lights providing high productivity from the moment you power on, with no warm up required and no waiting around.
The sixth generation SmartLF Gx+ 28 ENERGY STAR® qualified scanners combine a unique Colortrac designed bi-directional LED light system that has low energy requirements, a longer life and reduced environmental impact with the superior color imaging attributes of CCD technology.

All Colortrac SmartLF large format scanners come with SmartWorks EZ software, Windows Image Acquisition interface (WIA/STI), and Scanner utility software included.
- SmartWorks EZ software is very simple to use and designed for operation by non-specialist users. Choose your preferred method of controlling the SmartLF scanner with either keyboard, mouse or touch-screen modes, while providing all the basic scan to file and scan to copy functionality you need. SmartWorks EZ software saves your scanned documents as PDF, TIFF or JPG files individually or as a batch, and makes document copies to any printer through standard Windows printer drivers.

- Windows Image Acquisition interface (WIA/STI)
WIA is a technology that enables graphics software to communicate with imaging hardware such as scanners and digital cameras.
The WIA interface supplied with all Colortrac SmartLF wide format scanners means that you can use your scanner to scan directly into any imaging application that supports WIA/STI, for example Photoshop.
- Scanner utility software
All Colortrac SmartLF large format scanners are supplied with utility software that includes everything you need to keep your scanner in prime working condition and up-to-date with the latest firmware and driver versions.
